The Telugu Desam Party on Sunday alleged that the State Government was diverting funds meant for the welfare of Scheduled Castes and Tribes for the by-elections.
Talking to reporters at the NTR Trust Bhavan, TDP MLA Motkupalli Narasimhulu said that the State Government has diverted from Rs 4 Crore to Rs 12 Crore meant for different welfare schemes of SCs and STs for other purposes in view of the next by-elections.
Narasimhulu demanded that Chief Minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy take immediate steps to stop the diversion of SC, ST funds. Else, he warned that the TDP would hold massive protests against the State Government across the State. (INN)
