Hyderabad Central University research scholar Rohith Vemula was “murdered” by hegemonic Brahmin ideology, alleged Telangana Democratic Front (TDF) here on Sunday.
The TDF organized a protest at Indira Park Dharna chowk this morning. The protestors demanded that the government initiate legal action on the culprits — ABVP leader Susheel Kumar, HCU Vice-Chancellor P. Appa Rao, MLC N. Ramchander Rao, Union ministers Bandaru Dattatraya and Smriti Irani. They also demanded that the government order a judicial inquiry into the issue by a sitting judge of the High Court.
Student leaders K V Ratnam, educationist Chukka Ramaiah, K R Choudhury, Laxminarayana and others attended the meeting. (NSS)
