Hyderabad, July 23: The Telugu Desam leaders questioning the allotment of the ‘whistle’ symbol to the Lok Satta Party amounts to showing disrespect to the judiciary and the Election Commission, Lok Satta Party spokespersons Katari Srinivasa Rao and V Laxman Balaji have said.
Speaking to the media here today, the LSP leaders pointed out that the allotment of the free symbol followed the judgment of the High Court on a writ petition filed by the party. They said that they could not understand why a party like the TDP was obsessed with the LSP which had a lone member in the Assembly and polled less than two per cent of the popular vote.
