Telangana State BJP president G Kishan Reddy today clarified that his party MLAs have voted in favour of TDP candidate as first preference and chose “ NOTA” for second preference in the Monday’s MLC elections. But due to misunderstanding on the NOTA, some error occurred.
Speaking to the media here on Tuesday, Kishan Reddy said it was not proper for TRS and MIM parties to think that they should alone remain in Telangana State and other parties to go. He also said the Revanth Reddy episode will be brought to the notice of the party high command. It was the TRS party, which started luring other party MLAs into its fold with money and positions.
The Telangana BJP chief also questioned how the TRS could field five candidates for MLC posts when it had no required strength. Is it a democracy, he asked. Kishan Reddy said Prime Minister Narendra Modi would visit the State in September or October this year. Both the Centre and the State governments should work as a team India. (NSS)
