TD leaders tell KCR not to cross limits

Hyderabad, April 07: Reacting sharply to Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) chief K Chandrasekhara Rao’s comments on Telugu Desam chief N Chandrababu Naidu yesterday, TDP leaders today warned the TRS chief against crossing his limits.

Speaking to reporters here today, TDP leader Yanamala Ramakrishnudu said the TRS chief had only double standards.

“Rao can forge an alliance with Congress and TDP. If the TDP chief is not a good person, why did Rao sail with the TDP in the last elections?’’ he asked.

Ramakrishnudu said the Congress was not going to submit its opinion to the Srikrishna Committee and the ruling party had no moral right to seek the opinions of other political parties on Telangana.

Another leader, T Srinivas Yadav, said the TRS chief was acting like an agent of the Congress. Though Rao claimed that TRS was a movement, he never organised any movement on the problems of Telangana including Babhali, RDS, Pranahita-Chevella and on the plight of Gulf victims, Yadav alleged.

Accusing the TRS chief of sparing the ruling Congress on Telangana statehood demand and targeting only the TDP, Yadav said Rao prompted his ten MLAs to resign. “Because of Rao’s decision and the resignation of his party MLAs, the TRS had no voice in the justconcluded Assembly session,’’ Yadav said.

Telangana TDP Forum convener N Janardhan Reddy said the TRS chief, who had termed the Srikrishna Committee as useless, was now readying to submit a representation to the committee.

“Is it not Rao’s double standards?’’ he asked.

Naidu had not gone back on his commitment to Telangana, Reddy claimed and doubted whether Rao had any hidden agenda behind his attack on the TDP.

Rao was able to win the Mahaboobnagar Lok Sabha seat courtesy the Telugu Desam, Reddy said.
