TD flays CM on May Day

Telangana Telugu Desam party today celebrated International Labours Day at NTR Trust Bhavan here on Sunday. Leaders L Ramana, Ravula Chandrasekhar Reddy, Revanth Reddy, Peddi Reddy and others paid tributes to party founder and former Chief Minister NT Rama Rao after unfurling the flag.

On this occasion, Ramana recalled that NTR regime set a record of sorts by implementing many welfare schemes for the workers in the state. Party flag comprises house, plough and wheel representing poor, farmer and worker respectively and the TD Government tried its best for the cause of working class, he claimed. He charged that Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao failed to keep promise for workers welfare and regularizing contract staff. KCR Government denied appointment to sanitary workers whom he called gods he charged. The TD will extend its support to TNTUC to wage fight against the anti-people policies of the government he alleged.

Revanth Reddy took a jibe at KCR government for denying justice to the workers and favouring rich class besides ignoring the plight of workers, Aganwadi workers and closure of Nizam Sugars factory workers, Sirpur Paper Mill. While the TD extended financial help of Rs 50,000 to 12 of workers he said and alleged that KCR denied help to kin of 2500 deceased farmers. Peddi Reddy charged the KCR government of failing to regularize contract and outsourcing staff. (NSS)
