Legislature Affairs Minister T Harish Rao today expressed anguish and discontent on suspended Telugu Desam members for trying to give “no-confidence motion” to Speaker S Madhusudhan Chary.
He termed the attempts of the TD members as rubbish and enacting a drama. Reacting on the vain bid by the ousted TD members, who were arrested earlier in the day, the minister ridiculed that the members have no right to give the notice seeking no confidence motion. How can they do so when they are not eligible as per the norms and practices of legislative affairs?, he sought to know. They seem to have no common sense on giving notice in this regard, he said. Intentionally or not, the TD members tried to corner the ruling party, he said. However, their effort to give notice was not fructified as they are not eligible to do so, he quoted. (NSS)
