Hyderabad, August 10: The Telugu Desam Party today demanded a thorough discussion on the drought situation in the ongoing budget session of the State Legislative Assembly.
Speaking to reporters here, party leaders K Yerran Naidu and Ummareddy Venkateswarlu urged the government to discuss the problems of the farmers arising out of the situation.
They alleged that neither chief minister YS Rajasekhara Reddy nor Agriculture Minister N Raghuveera Reddy had bothered touring the districts to learn of the plight of the farmers.
