Hyderabad, March 26: Telugu Desam president N Chandrababu Naidu has alleged that the State Government is not allowing discussion in the State Legislative Assembly on any pressing issue including NREGS, irrigation projects and weeding out of ration cards.
Naidu visited the Cherlapally Central Jail today to console the party workers who were arrested in connection with an attack on advocates near Indira Park here. Speaking to party workers outside the jail later, Naidu blamed the Rosaiah Government for all the ills of the State. “The State Government has failed on all fronts. Because of the ruling party there is no meaningful debate in the Assembly on any issue,’’ he said.
Naidu was accompanied by T Devender Goud, T Krishna Reddy, T Srinivasa Yadav and others.
Responding to the disturbance outside the jail, TTDPF convener N Janardhan Reddy alleged that it was the handiwork of TRS activists. As a party chief Naidu had every right to console the party corproators, he said and alleged that those who sported TRS scarves raised T-slogans. It was not good on the part of the TRS to behave so, Janardhan Reddy said.
Reddy recalled that the TDP had given notice for an adjournment motion on the Hyderabad free-zone issue in the Assembly. Because of the efforts of the TDP, the resolution opposing Hyderabad as a free zone was adopted in the Assembly, he claimed and declared that they would launch an agitation for separate Telangana after submitting a report to the Srikrishna committee.
