TD, BJP play BC card for Votes: Raghavulu

CPM Andhra Pradesh secretary BV Raghavulu today accused Telugu Desam and BJP of playing BC Card only for political gain in the general elections. Keeping the general elections in view, these parties are just making BCs voters as pawns, who occupy major chunk of the society. He demanded that the problems of fishermen must be incorporated in elections manifestos.
Participating in a meeting of Fishermen problems at Sundarayya Vignana Kendram here he released a bulletin relating to fishermen problems. Speaking on the occasion, Raghuvulu took serious exception to the parties for election time promises. He said that the parties are indulging in a political game and trying to make BCs their vote bank. While the TD leadership says that it will make Chief Minister a BC leader on coming to power in Telangana state, the BJP states that its Prime Ministerial candidate and Gujrat Chief Minister Narendra Modi himself is a BC leader. There are all election time gimmicks of the parties, he alleged. The People are not ready to be misguided always, he observed.
It is right time for the BCs and others to think of the parties which kept the promises made and performed better for the cause of poor and welfare of society, Raghavulu said. He appealed that the voters should decide their leaders who can really serve them else, they can use NOTA (none of the above) option to reject those in fray, he said. (NSS)
