TCS Vice-President and Head, Govt Industry Solutions Unit (ISU), Tannmoy Chakrabarty, along with Nitya Jain, Head- State government Delivery unit- India and other officials of TCS called on Panchayat Raj and Rural Development Minister Jupally Krishna Rao in his chambers in the Telangana Secretariat on Wednesday.
Tanmoy Chakrabarty appreciated the programs of the government of Telangana and expressed the desire to work with the government of Telangana with regard to NREGS, He informed the minister that attendance with Biometric integrated with Aadhar is being implemented in three Gram Panchayats in Krishna District. He also informed that a Pilot Project has been implemented in West Bengal and they are waiting for approval which was held up as the state went for elections. He also informed about the various practices being followed in Maharashtra which can implemented in Telangana.
The Minister informed the team to come up with a presentation which can address the Muster management, have photographs and measurements. It should also integrate Aadhar cards and also should be cost effective. Minister was particular that technology should be used to simplify processes and works. He explained to them the presentation which was shown in the Assembly by Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao where it was shown that by giving measurements you can calculate the amount of water. Depths, height etc., were measured accurately. Similarly, technology should be used to measure and monitor the work. He told them that once their presentation is ready, a meeting along with the SPl CS, Commissioner and other line officials could be arranged to take it forward.(INN)
