The patients undergoing treatment at government hospitals have to face hardships due to shortage of medicines. People from others states arrive at TB hospital located at Erragadda, the largest hospital in the state but sadly due to lack of medicines, the patients’ condition is further deteriorating. Medical officer told that supply of medicines in the TB hospital for the past one year is next to nothing they don’t have medicines to give to the patients being admitted to the hospital.
Patients’ attendants told that doctors make a round once a day and the nurses give medicines after that, till the next day no one is there to look after the patients. The food given is unpalatable. Right from the watchman on the gate, to the ward boy all are busy in making money. Nothing gets done without greasing the palm.
