Ghaziabad February 16: In the wake of the recent terror attacks in Pune, tatkal passport now will be issued only after confirmation of verification done by a gazetted officer for passport applicant.
Regional passport officer Amrender Kumar Sainger said tatkal passport check has been made strict and now no passport will be issued to anybody within two days after the submission of application form.
He said the officer who will verify the applicant will have either to come in person for the confirmation of verification or he will have to ensure his verification by other means.
Sainger said now atleast four days will be taken to issue the passport under tatkal yozna.
