New Delhi, Jun 14: Telecom operator Tata Teleservices Ltd (TTL) today announced that it added 2.33 million users in May, taking its total number of subscribers to over 70 million.
The company, 26 per cent owned by Japan’s NTT DoCoMo, has shown an extremely aggressive and consistent growth in new subscriber additions over the last year, company Managing Director Anil Sardana said in a statement.
The country’s fifth-biggest mobile phone operator, TTL, has posted a subscriber growth rate of more than 100 per cent in the last 12 months from 35 million subscribers in May 2009, he added.
”With the countdown on 3G services having begun, we will continue to walk the innovation path, providing our customers with differentiated products and services which will take telecom to the next level,” Mr Sardana said in a statement.
He said the company is working closely on the creation of such relevant products with its partners, particularly NTT DoCoMo.
