Mumbai, August 09: The beleaguered Organising Committee of the Delhi Commonwealth Games got a shot in the arms when it signed Tata Motors as the official motor transport sponsor for the October 3-14 sports extravaganza.
As per an MoU signed today, Tata Motors would provide turnkey transport solutions during the Games and the Queen’s Baton Relay, a media release said.
“We are delighted to welcome Tata Motors to our sponsor family. We are well on track to host a great Games and the arrival of Tata Motors as an official partner will contribute towards the delivery of the best ever Commonwealth Games,” said CWG Organising Committee chairman Suresh Kalmadi.
“We are very happy to be associated with the mega sporting event. This is a very proud alliance for us and we are sure that the Games will be a huge success,” said Nitin Seth of Tata Motors.
