Hyderabad, January 23: The State Industrial Task Force, set up by the Andhra Pradesh government to instill confidence in captains of industry and commerce in the wake of stirs in the recent past, has decided to prepare digital directory of companies of all Industries, including Information Technology units.
The decision was taken yesterday at a meeting of liason officers of various companies with ISTF head T Krishna Prasad,IPS, consequent on the decision taken during a meeting of representatives of various Industry and trade Associations, including CII, FAPCCI, ITsAP, NASSCOM on January 12.
It was decided to form e-Groups besides communicating information through SMS for quick actions, an official statement here said.
The Companies agreed to nominate volunteers to work out in providing the database in given proforma. The database is restricted to Security Structure of the companies.
ISTF pointed out that it is necessary to have database of the companies regarding the exact locations, number of gates for entry and exit and location of staff to facilitate quick evacuation of Officers and staff at the time of emergency situations. The information would be confidential and accessible in the Police Intranet. There would be further discussion regarding security of the information.
The companies agreed to cooperate for the Digital Layer of dawings and maps of the locations of the companies for quick location by police officers during evacuation process. This Digital Layer would be kept in Police Intranet giving access to Fire Service Department.
The companies agreed to provide extra security personnel to add to the number of police at times of crisis. These security personnel would work under the Civil Police and would be readily available during the time of dire need like bandhs.
Some companies have also proposed providing vehicles for patrolling purpose.
The next meeting to discuss security measures for industries would be held on January 30.
