Hyderabad, July 07: TASK Force sleuths on Monday apprehended a notorious criminal and foiled a conspiracy to kill a realtor.
According to the police, the realtor, Prakash Goud, bought a fiveacre land at Balaji Nagar in Yapral in Secunderabad from one Abhishekaramma and Sukumari, who are the legal heirs of original owner M Vivekamma of Musheerabad.
P Srinivas, one of the accused, came to know that the same land had been sold by David and his wife Vivekamma to one Masterji who had the valid documents. He decided to buy the said land from Masterji at a lower price. Both the parties fixed the price of the land at Rs 45 lakh and Srinivas paid Rs 4 lakh as token advance.
“Immediately, Srinivas erected boards at the site, declaring himself the owner of the property. He also started giving ultimatum to Prakash Goud but in due course came to know that Goud had already sold the property to Srinivas Reddy and Anil Reddy,’’ Task Force Deputy Commissioner VB Kamalasan Reddy said.
According to him, P Srinivas started intimidating Srinivas Reddy and Anil Reddy. “P Srinivas threatened them saying he had killed four people in the past and some of his friends were former members of PWG (Naxalites). He demanded Rs 75 lakh from Srinivas Reddy to forgo their rights on the land,’’ Kamalasan Reddy said.
Srinivas Reddy, meanwhile, told Prakash Goud about the interference of P Srinivas. Goud advised Reddy not to pay any money.
Meanwhile Narsimha Chary, Neelam Srinu and other associates of P Srinivas, had disputes with one Shabuddin over 13 open plots at Balaji Nagar. But, those 13 plots were sold to Shabuddin and accused Neelam Srinu and Narsimha Chary by Prakash Goud.
P Srinivas, Neelam Srinu and Narasimha Chary, along with a few associates, hatched a plan to eliminate Prakash Goud first and Shabuddin later. They bought two country-made tapanchas, three daggers and six live rounds from Mukesh and Rambalist Roy, both hailing from Bihar. The associates positioned themselves at different places where Prakash Goud generally visited but their plan was foiled by the task force sleuths who arrested Srinivas and six of his Ramesh Gelli and former LIC and SEBI Chairman G N Bajpai sharing a light moment at ASCI associates.
