These attacks targetting Muslims Minorities, Dalits and Adivasis over the past few years are of a certain ‘pattern’ and somehow directly-or indirectly state-sponsored!
New Delhi: Social activist Swami Agnivesh who was recently attacked on July 17 allegedly by youths connected to BJP and RSS group, said these chain of events, referring to the Alwar lynching and other assaults in the country, are of a certain ‘pattern’ and are “directly or indirectly state-sponsored”.
Addressing an event organized by Bandhua Mukti Morcha at the Constitution Club of India, the senior activist said, “This is a pattern. It’s not just about Alwar or Jharkhand. If you see the last two years, these incidents seem to be directly or indirectly state-sponsored. There has been no action in any of these cases.”
Unhesitatingly, the 79-year-old activist has alleged that these attacks were being carried out against “Minorities, Dalits and Adivasis” where no action is being taken by any state or the ruling party against such anti-social elements.
Speaking of the accused names registered in the FIR in connection with the attack on him, he said, “The BJP state chief has been claiming that nobody from their party is involved, but the report mentions how the attackers are connected to the BJP and its other affiliated organisations.”
