Demanding tabling and passing of the Prevention of Communal and Targeted Violence bill in the proposed winter session of the parliament, Tanzeem-e-Insaaf Greater Hyderabad staged protest dharna at Dharna Chowk Indira Park. Mr. Syed Aziz Pasha former MP presided the dharna and Mr. Ram Narsimha Rao CPI member of state legislature attended as chief guest. President Tanzeem-e-Insaaf Greater Hyderabad Mir Ahmed Ali, general secretary Muneer Patel, S A Mannan member CPI city legislature and others addressed the dharna.
Addressing hundreds of activists of Insaaf, Mr. Syed Aziz Pasha told that the country faced more than 4000 communal riots during 2005 to 2009 which had a direct impact on Muslim minority of the country. He further said the bill constituted to prevent communal violence for years awaits its approval.
He informed that 685 were killed and more than 12000 injured during the riots between 2005 to 2009. He declared passing of bill inevitable to tighten the noose around communal forces.
