Mumbai, April 29: APARTMENT has released but hasn’t found many takers at the box office. Still, its lead actors Neetu Chandra and Tanushree Dutta have gained some decent appreciation for their work. One asks Tanushree if she was expecting this Jagmohan Mundhra directed psycho thriller to bring her much better mileage.
“See, you can never say that which film will get you mileage and recognition and which won’t”, replies Tanushree, “My performance and work was there for all to see. Yes, I have done some good work in the past as well. I have consistently tried to add to my profile by exploring different genres and subjects. For each of my films, I research well and aspire to do better.”
Adding on a (expected) diplomatic note, Tanushree says, “At the end of the day, results are not always in my hands. Of course I have put my best in APARTMENT’ as well. Beyond that, I am not thinking much. After all I have stopped having this thought process of building so many expectations long time back itself.”
She is happiest when a film of hers releases sans any controversies and purely on its merits, case in point being ROKKK.
“And the results are for everyone to see”, she immediately adds, “There was nothing controversial ever written about the film. But the way things have been written about APARTMENT, I am wondering what’s the kind of mileage has it eventually gained? You work so hard on a film, put your blood and sweat and then something like this happens. Really, this isn’t something that I had signed up for.”
