The Tank Bund road in the city has been closed for traffic since this morning, due to Kukatpally Nala repair works. Until now, the untreated sewerage water from the areas of Balanagar and Kukatpally are being released into the famous Hussain Sagar lake. With laying the new pipelines, the waste water will be diverted and released into the Kalasiguda Nala from July 2015.
The Hyderabad Metropolitan Water Supply & Sewerage Board (HMWSSB) is laying around 4 kilometers of new Trunk Sewer lines to carry the industrial and sewerage water from Kukatpally. Following this, the busy road of Ranigunj and Tank Bund were blocked and this is expected to continue for at least for 10 to 15 days. (NSS)
