TANA invites govt for 3 day conference in US

Hyderabad, July 01: Telugu Association of North America (TANA) president Komati Jayaram has invited the state government for the three day conference to be held in San Francisco in the United States of America, from July 3.

Giving this information to media persons at the Secretariat on Thursday, Minister for Weavers’ Welfare and Textiles P Shankar Rao said he would utilize this occasion to effect interaction with industrialists for inviting their participation in AP which would improve job prospects.
The state offers 40 per cent subsidy up to Rs 50 lakh to women entrepreneurs, while for men 35 per cent subsidy, the Minister said.

Besides this, to promote industries, maximum relief would be given to the investing entrepreneurs, the Minister promised.
Dr Shankar Rao asserted that Handlooms and Textiles occupied second position after agriculture and said “it was my fortune that I am heading this Department.”

Meanwhile, the Lok Satta Party announced that its leaders Katari Srinivasa Rao and P Rohit Kumar will be taking part in the TANA (Telugu Association of North America) conference beginning on July 1 at Santa Clara, California, US.

During their visit until July 17, they will interact with People for Lok Satta chapters and take part in the Los Angeles Telugu Association meetings.
