Tamil Nadu girl pulled out of bore well after 16 hours

A seven-year old girl, who fell into a 900-foot deep bore well on a farm in Tamil Nadu’s Suryapalli Village, was pulled out late on Saturday night, ending her 16-hour-long ordeal. The girl identified as Muthulakshmi fell into the improperly closed bore well at around 7 a.m. on Saturday morning, and was pulled out around 11 p.m. in an unconscious state on the same day. Daughter of farm labourers, the girl was rushed to a nearby hospital in an ambulance, but there is no word about her condition. Police said the rescue operations were hampered by the rocky terrain.
