Talla Ravi has links with Chota Rajan

Hyderabad, October 31: Known to be a professional shooter, Talla Ravi, who was among those arrested by the Cyberabad police on Saturday is said to be having links with gangster Chota Rajan. “Talla Ravi was involved in various offences in the city,” Cyberabad police commissioner Ch Dwaraka Tirumala Rao has said.

The 30-year-old Bantu Jagadish Talla alias Bantu Talla alias Talla Ravi,� a native of Palakol in West Godavari district is learnt to have been maintaining good relations with Chota Rajan gang after his family shifted to Mumbai.

Ravi, who was the head of the ten-member robber gang that opened fire on Madhapur police at Kondapur junction when police tried to chase them after the gang members looted Rs 35 lakh from Balaji wine shop at Kondapur. Ravi was among the six arrested by police.

“Ravi opened fire on Madhapur police from his illegal country-made pistol that was purchased in Uttar Pradesh. Ravi, who was an expert shooter, opened fire on a civilian Srinivas in front of court in Mumbai. In another incident, he opened fire on a sub- inspector Adhai in Rabele police station limits in Maharashtra,” the police commissioner said.

Tirumala Rao said� after retuning to the city, Ravi trained his gang members in revolver shooting at Zaheerabad in Medak.

“He came in contact with Chota Rajan when his sister Meena was married to one Naresh Thakur, who is a close associate of Chota Rajan. Ravi’s gang was involved in high profile offences like bank and jewellery shop robberies. In the city, the gang was involved in four robberies and 16 robbery cases in Mumbai and Pune,” he said.
