Talks on the new sand mining polic was inclusive and the GoM would take a final decision on the new sand mining policy after meeting again, Andhra Pradesh Mines and Geology Minister Galla Aruna Kumari today said.
Talking to reporters after Group of Minister (GoM) meeting on sand mining policy, Ms Kumari said the GoM will take more time to announce on the new sand policy by the state government as different views were expressed by the Ministers in the meeting. Earlier, the Andhra Pradesh Government has set up a Group of Minister (GoM) to review the sand mining policy, with the Principal Secretary to the Government (Mines), Industries and Commerce Department, as its Convener. Ministers of Mines and Geology; Major and Medium Irrigation; Finance and Planning; Forests and Environment; Minor Irrigation and Panchayat Raj; and Rural Water Supply are also the members in the GoM.
