New Delhi: Discussing about the rising terrorism across the world, Minister of State for Home Affairs Kiren Rijiju today said that ‘if we talk of Islamic fundamentalism then the fight against terrorism has to be led by the Muslims’.
“If we talk about the Islamic fundamentalism then the fight against terrorism has to be led by the Muslims. If there is a problem within the Buddhist segment then the fight has to be led by the Buddhists. If there is a problem within the Hindu community then the fight has to be led by the Hindus so that it doesn’t take a religious colour. Some people will definitely try to put it in a different mode and change the whole discourse of discussion,” he said while speaking at the India Security Conclave here.
Rijiju also said that India is facing a much more complex problem than any other country with respect to terrorism.
“Threat of terror is not confined to one country, region or religion. It has become a global threat. It is not only the effort of the Governments but of society as a whole which will make the world a peaceful place,” he said. (ANI)
