Karachi, July 30 : The Taliban has rejected reports of it taking part in a fresh round of peace talks with the Afghan Government, and also refused to comment on Kabul officials’ claim that their leader, Mullah Omar, had died two years ago.
According to the Express Tribune, the Taliban posted on their website that “media outlets” were saying that the talks would take place soon.
The Taliban also said that their political office was unaware of any such process.
It was the first statement from the Taliban since Kabul reported that Omar had died. (ANI)
