Peshawar/Islamabad, January 24: Seven bullet-riddled bodies of men killed by Taliban for allegedly spying for the US were found in the lawless north Waziristan today, even as nine militants and a soldier were killed in violence in northwest Pakistan.
Bodies of five of the seven men killed were found this morning in Kum Sarobi, 35 kms south of Miranshah, the main town in North Waziristan tribal agency, where army conducted an operation against militants holed up in an Afghan settlement two days ago, local media reported.
The sixth body was found in Kutab Khel area, 10 km southeast of Miranshah, while another body was found in Khaisore village in Mirali sub-division.
Notes written in Pashto placed near the bodies said the men were working for the US and spying on ‘mujahideen’.
