Animal Husbandry Minister Talasani Srinivas Yadav today slammed the Opposition for crying foul on the Mallanna Sagar project.
Addressing a press conference at Secretariat, he said Division Bench decision staying the quash order of GO 123 is a slap on the Opposition parties. He took serious exception to the Opposition parties for creating confusion and playing cheap politics. He welcomed the High Court order staying the single-judge order quashing GO 123. The minister excoriated the Opposition leaders for coming in the way of developmental works. “We welcome the Division Bench’s order staying the previous order”, he said.
The government will keep its promise of providing more benefits through GO 123 to the victims than the 2013 Land Acquisition Act, he said. He also said the Government will provide more benefits to the evacuees, displaced persons, farmers and others to be affected, as per GO 123. He found fault with the Congress for trying to malign the image of the government which was committed to provide all help to the project victims. (NSS)
