Talasani’s son booked on alleged kidnap charge

Police registered cases against two persons, including the son of Commercial Taxes Minister Talasani Srinivas Yadav, on alleged charges of kidnapping the husband of a Lok Sabha Member.

Kothaplli Geetha, Lok Sabha member from Araku valley, lodged a complaint with the Punjagutta Police alleging that her husband was kidnapped and confined for over six hours and forcibly taken over land documents by Sai, son of the minister and another person belonging to the RR Constructions Company. She also stated in her complaint that her husband was let off at Kondapur after the police chased the alleged kidnappers. Based on her complaint, the police registered cases against the two under Sections 384 and 342 IPC and took up investigation.

Speaking to the media, Srinivas Yadav stoutly denied the allegations against his son and said the charges were fabricated and an attempt to defame his family was made. He also said his son had only went to the MP’s husband to demand repayment of a huge loan amount. He said he would reveal all the details with proof shortly. (NSS)
