Animal Husbandry Minister Talasani Srinivas Yadav today directed the officials to take immediate steps to address drinking water problem at Nallagutta area in Secunderabad under his Sanathnagar constituency.
The minister made a visit to the area along with a team of officials, including Water Works Managing Director Dana Kishore and others. Reacting to drinking water contamination in the area, he asked the officials to fix the problem avoiding delay. The officials estimated to lay new pipe lines at the location with Rs 53 lakh to address sewerage and water supply problem at eight places. The minister said water works will be completed by spending Rs 26 lakh from the Water Works department and the rest from his constituency funds. He also asked the officials to instruct the staff to clear the debris and waste from the nalas at Jalammagudi area and other places on a war-footing. (NSS)
