Animal Husbandry Minister T Srinivas Yadav today slammed the Congress for its false campaign and confusing people on welfare and development. He said Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao was kind hearted and providing permanent shelter to the people of slums and basthis in the city.

The city will be transformed into new colonies as the slums will get housing facility like never before, he said. Inspecting the double bedroom works at Sanathnagar segment here, Yadav ridiculed TPCC Chief, N Utham Kumar Reddy for stating that the Congress will come to power in 2019 elections. He sought to know how the Congress can come to power when its leaders together were stalling development works, projects and welfare schemes and making false charges of corruption.

The people will teach them a lesson if the Congress leaders for spurious campaign against the schemes and failing to mend their ways he warned. The Minister said that the people of the slums and deprived section are a happy lot as they are getting the houses free of cost in the city. We are lucky to have chief minister like KCR, the minister said. The Chief Minister is aware of the problems of the poor and deprive classes and came up with first of its kind scheme to get them free housing he remarked.

The minister interacted with some of the beneficiaries who expressed happiness and extended thanks for the housing facility in the city. The Government is spending crores of funds for providing the spacious double bedroom houses, power supply, drinking water, roads, drainage and other facilities he claimed. During past rule, the poor used to get loans from the banks which are not sufficient and now the government is providing them the housing facility free of cost, he said.

Srinivas Yadav alleged that the past governments ignored the plight of the people and now coming in the way of development. The TRS Government came up with welfare schemes like Shadi Mubarak, Kalyan Lakshmi and helping the poor to perform marriage of their girl children and providing pensions. (NSS)
