Animal Husbandry Minister, Talasani Srinivas Yadav today stressed the need for creating awareness among people on recycling wet garbage into compost through machines in the twin cities. “All the Colonies and Basthis will be supplied with the machines and awareness will be created among people on their use”, he said.
Sriniavas Yadav launched a “Waste to Compost” machine at Sanathnagar segment along with GHMC Commissioner B Janardhan Reddy. He said that Puna based Boring Engineering Company manufactured the machine which is first of its kind in the state. Srinivas Yadav said that function halls, hotels and others which produce more garbage every day should use this type of machines.
The machines will be used in all the colonies and basthis in the city and create awareness to involve people. The people should now make use of the machines to change garbage into compost, he said. Use of this machine will help avoid garbage problem and GHMC to carry the same to dump yards the minister noted. The matter will be taken to the notice of Municipal Minister KT Rama Rao for wide use of the machine and involve people Srinivas Yadav said. (NSS)
