Minister for Animal Husbandry and Cinematography Talasani Srinivas Yadav today said, “the youth were forgetting our festivals, culture and traditions by being attracted to foreign craze”.
Participating in the traditional Kite festival at Necklace Road on Sunday, the minister stressed the need for promoting Indian culture and traditions. He expressed concern that the youth are forgetting our culture, traditions. Srinivas Yadav asked the parents to encourage and educate their children to celebrate our festivals that reflect culture and traditions. Srinivas Yadav said that NRIs from two Telugu States are celebrating our festivals and spreading our culture and tradition.
At this juncture, the youth from Telangana State should turn to celebrate our festivals and avoid catching up with foreign culture, he said. Srinivas Yadav also said the State government will celebrate Bathukamma, Bonalu and Kite Festival with top priority. “Next year, we will conduct the Kite festival at Peoples Plaza in grand manner which is now celebrated at Aga Khan Academy and delegates from 18 nations are participating he said.
