Verbal war between the ruling TRS and main Opposition Congress leaders was raging day after day.
After Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao’s scathing attack on Congress leaders in Warangal district the other day, the Congress leaders, including TPCC president N Uttam Kumar Reddy, D K Aruna, V Hanumantha Rao, Ponguleti Sudhakar Reddy and others retorted to the Chief Minister’s in the same wave length on Saturday. On the same day, Ministers defended the Chief Minister’s remarks against the Congress leaders. It did not stop at that point. The ruling party leaders fired their salvos even on Sunday.
Animal Husbandry Minister Talasani Srinivas Yadav today justified KCR’s remarks against the Congress leaders saying there was nothing wrong in the criticism of the Chief Minister. Talasani said he doesn’t understand as to why the Congress leaders were in a fighting mood. Stating that the TRS government has introduced several historic schemes and developmental programs in the last two-and-a-half years for the benefit of the society, the minister asked the Congress leaders why they failed to do such things during the last 60 years. Pointing out that there were 50 percent BCs in the society, he said the Chief Minister was launching good programs for their welfare. He also alleged that the Congress leaders treated the BCs as beggars during their decades old regime.
Questioning the Congress leaders whether they had any such development ideas like KCR, Talasani asked the Congress leaders, who managed to get a single seat in the GHMC elections, to tell what to say about them other than ‘sannasulu’. The minister said people in the entire State were solidly behind the TRS. Asserting that the TRS government would fulfill all the needs of the people by identifying their needs”, Talasani warned the Congress leaders of dire consequences if they spoke as they wished. “We have 100 tongues”, he said and asked the Congress leaders to come to Assembly fully prepared during Budget session to start from March 8.
