Minister for Animal Husbandry and Cinematography Talasani Srinivas Yadav today asked the officials of Revenue and Housing to conduct a survey on January 25 to take up works of double bedroom housing scheme at various basthis, including Harijan basthi and others in Bholakpur area. He promised that the people staying in these tiny colonies for long time of 70 years or so will be given housing facility and provide infrastructure and facilities. The visit on Saturdays will help address issues of power, water, roads, drainage and others, he said.
When the locals sought, the minister directed the deputy DEO to take steps to upgrade Bholakpur Government School to High School and inquired whether women beneficiaries were using sewing machines supplied. He appealed to the people of the twin cities to support voluntarily the Swatch Hyderabad program by keeping their premises and environs clean and tidy.
The minister made “Padayatra” at his Assembly constituency at Mekalamandi of Bansilalpet and interacted with the people and found their problems. He said he will tour the Basthis every Saturday and resolve their problems and issue orders on the spot. The minister asked people to make efforts for Swatch Hyderabad by making use of wet and dry dust bins separately. He said the government was coming up with various programs to keep the city clean.
