Hyderabad: In yet another significant help to flood ravaged Kerala State, the Telangana Government today sent a lorry-load of 100 tons of cattle feed and 1.25 lakh doses of vaccination for the animals affected in that State.
At the Telangana Secretariat gate, Animal Husbandry Minister Talasani Srinivas Yadav today flagged off a vehicle carrying 100 tons of cattle feed and 1.25 lakhs vaccination doses to Kerala state. He called upon people to extend a helping hand to flood hit Kerala state which is facing wrath of nature fury and trail of destruction.
The minister said that the state government has already sent Rs 25 cr to Kerala in addition to food pockets, milk powder and RO machines worth crores. The help from Telangana state will prove handy as the people in Kerala awaiting timely succor, he said.
State Poultry Federation has offered Rs 20 lakhs worth cattele feed and expenditure for transportation charges. We are sending vaccination produced by animal husbandry department to Kerala state he said.
Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao was first to respond to the rain fury and offered help he said. Stating that 20 tons of milk powder from Vijaya Dairy was sent to rain hit state, he said that some noted personalities of cinema field have provide some help to the affected people. I also appeal to other noted film industry people to come forward to help in kind and deed for the Kerala state. Our Government will continue to provide help until Kerala gets normalcy he added. (NSS)
