Taking loans for development is no crime: KCR

Ruling out apprehensions expressed by the Opposition parties on increasing debts of the State, Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao said not taking debts was crime these days. He said the USA made huge debts and taking debt by individual was different from the governments.

Participating in the debate on Appropriation Bill in the Assembly on Monday, KCR said the previous Congress government at the Centre adopted Amarthya Sen model economic policy, but the present BJP government was adopting American Economic model. He said the State government was adopting both Amarthya Sen and American Economic Model at a time by mixing both of them.

The Chief Minister said the revenue would increase this year by Rs 18,000 crore or Rs 20,000 crore. He asked the Opposition parties not to get worried about taking debts. ‘Dare to Dream’ he said and made it clear that the State government needed debts to implement the welfare and developments schemes introduced by it.
