Rampur : Launching a frontal attack on Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader Subramanian Swamy for the so called ‘Lord Krishna’ package to the Muslim community, Uttar Pradesh Minority Welfare Minister Azam Khan on Sunday asked him to take all the mosques and start offering prayers.
“We do not need this favour, let him take all the mosques and start offering namaz. Let him take all our mosques and offer prayers. There is no prohibition on his offering namaz, we would like to invite him. We have not stopped him,” Khan told ANI.
Swamy had earlier offered a ‘Lord Krishna’ package to the Muslim community where in they get to keep ‘39,997 mosques’ in return for ‘three temples’.
“We Hindus offer Lord Krishna’s package to Muslims–give us 3 temples and keep 39,997 masjids. I hope Muslim leaders don’t become Duryodhans,” Swamy tweeted.
Amid uproar over seminar on Ram Janmabhoomi in the Delhi University campus yesterday, Swamy had earlier said that the issue surrounding the construction of the Ram Temple in Ayodhya should not be seen as a ‘political stunt’.
He also lashed out at those opposing the Ram Janmabhoomi seminar and dubbed the protests as ‘intolerance’. (ANI)
