Leader of Opposition in Legislative Council Yanamala Ramakrishnudu on Tuesday demanded that the President of India take back the draft AP State Reorganisation Bill, 2013, as it was full of glitches.
Speaking to media persons, Yanamala said that the Bill was full of errors and therefore, it should not be put to debate in the Andhra Pradesh Legislative Assembly and Council. He said that the Assembly should pass a resolution in favour of united Andhra Pradesh before starting the discussion on Telangana Bill.
Yanamala also questioned the Samaikhyandhra campaign by YSRCP chief Jagan Mohan Reddy. Ridiculing Jagan’s decision to sign affidavits against bifurcation, he said that the affidavits would be valid only if they are submitted in a court. Therefore, he alleged that Jagan was enacting a drama to cover up his involvement in the State’s bifurcation. However, he said that the YSRCP would be rejected by the people and at the most it would be confined to Kadapa district.
He also expressed confidence that the Telugu Desam Party would return to power in next elections, which he claimed would be fought in united Andhra Pradesh. (INN)
