New Delhi: Showing concern over the communal riots and violence continued Bihar, West Bengal and Delhi, Jamiat Ulama-e-Hind demanded that the government of India take action against district officers who failed to put a curb on such incidents. In a press release issued from Jamiat Ulama-e-Hind head office, it was informed that a delegation led by Jamiat Ulama-e-Hind General Secretary Maulana Syed Mahmood Madani met Home Minister Rajnath Singh and submitted their demands in the form of a memorandum.
On the occasion, Maulana Madani showed grave concern over communal riot occurring in the country one after another. Maulana Madani told Rajnath Singh that recently on the occasion of Ram Navami communal riots sparked in Bihar, West Bengal and Delhi and masajid and places of worship were desecrated, this has created anxiety among peace-loving people of the country. He said these incidents require high-level action against the communal elements.
Maulana Madani said they met the Home Minister with a hope that the deteriorating communal situation would be put under control. He said any decent society would not leave minorities and weaker sections on the mercy of goons. Maulana said home minister listened to them seriously and said he is trying his best to control the situation.
