Tainted and selfish elements won’t be tolerated: DGP

Jammu: The Director General of Jammu and Kashmir Police K Rajendra Kumar today said that selfless service by police personnel would be recognised and tainted and selfish elements will not be tolerated in the organisation.

“Selfless service by the personnel would be recognised and the tainted selfish elements would not be tolerated in the organisation,” Kumar said during a surprise visit to the RS Pura police station.

Kumar interacted with the policemen and stressed that executive police has a great responsibility to deliver public service at different locations, including border areas.

He said that timely and quick disposal of public grievances and better attitude at lowest level would build an image of the organization among the masses.

He said that executive police, being the first responder to the problems of public, has a great responsibility to win their trust by delivering justice.

During the inspection, the DGP sought detailed reports of crime and other cases from the concerned investigating officers.

Discussing the crime in the jurisdiction of the police station, the DGP stressed on chalking out an effective mechanism to deal with the challenge firmly.

He said that the investigation process should be stepped up to bring the culprits to justice. He also asked them to nab evil-doers before they pose a challenge to law enforcement agencies.
