Tainted ministers should resign

BJP advised the six tainted ministers who received notices from Supreme Court to resign. If they don’t resign, the Governor has advised to dismiss them. This was told by Mr. Vidyasagara Rao former Union Minister while talking to media persons in BJP office yesterday in Hyderabad.

He told that they could be provided legal assistance. If Supreme Court has issued notices to these ministers, it becomes the issue of the Govt. It is not appropriate only to provide legal assistance to a few ministers. The entire cabinet should accept the responsibility for the mistakes done in the past.

It seems that in the near future, the Chief Minister himself would be forced to appear before the Court to plead the release of Mr. Jaganmohan Reddy and IAS officers saying that Govt. has no objection if they are freed from jail.

Commenting upon the remarks made by Mr. T.G. Venkatesh, he told that he ahs no right to suggest to shoot the lazy IAS officers. He asked him to fender apology. Mr. Vidyasagara Rao told that the Govt. has sent a few IAS officers to jail accusing them of certain irregularities and now a minister is suggesting to shoot down the remaining IAS officers blaming them that they are inefficient. He asked the Govt. as to what kind of message, it is going to pass on to the IAS office and will the Congress run the Govt. by displeasing IAS lobby.

Mr. Vidyasagara Rao said that the indications of the Central Govt. for resolving Telangana issue are only the political tactics of the Congress. They are meant to deceive the people of Telangana. It is a futile effort to muster support for presidential election in favour of Mr. Pranab Mukherjee.

He stressed the need to intensify Telangana Movement and to continue the struggle.
