Tahir vows to stick with his simple `game plan`

Johannesburg : South Africa leg-spinner Imran Tahir has vowed to carry on with his simple and clear game plans that he has worked on during the training sessions.

Tahir bowled a pivotal spell to stem the runs during his side’s three-wicket win over Australia in the first T20 of the three-match series at Kingsmead in Durban.

The 31-year-old scalped three wickets for 21 as South Africa took a 1-0 lead against Steve Smith’s side.

Reflecting on his performance, Tahir insisted that he was satisfied with his bowling as he didn’t bowl any bad balls, Sport24 reported.

Tahir stressed that he didn’t put himself under pressure even if bowls a bad ball, adding that he just tried to work out the opposition batsmen during the match.

South Africa will now aim to clinch the series when they take on Australia in the second T20 in Johannesburg on Sunday. (ANI)
