Ramgarh: Video of Allimuddin lynching goes viral

RAMGARH: A video footage of lynching of Mohd Allimuddin aka Asgar Ali emerged that show more than 100 people surrounded the man and thrashing and injuring him seriously.

On Thursday, on suspicion that he was carrying beef in his vehicle, villagers dragged out Allimuddin, the driver of Maruti van bearing a West Bengal number plate in the Bazaar Tand area. The mob also set his car in flames.

He was rushed to the hospital where he was declared “brought dead” by doctors, police said.

The incident took place just hours after PM Modi finally break his silence and spoke up against cow vigilantes and warned those who are killing people and spreading violence in name of ‘Gau Bhakti’.

Additional Director General of Police R K Mallik called the lynching of Allimuddin as a premeditated murder. “It’s premeditated murder.” “The killers have been identified,” he told PTI.

A case has been registered on the basis of a video footage of the lynching, police said.
 
Additional forces have been deployed in the area to maintain law and order, said Ramgarh deputy commissioner Rajeswari B.
