TADJAC to drag TRS govt to HC for fixing Ola, Uber cab fares

Welcoming the Delhi High Court order passed on August 11 in respect of Ola and Uber Cabs to collect only fares fixed by the government, the Telangana Auto Drivers’ Joint Action Committee (TADJAC) today announced its decision to challenge the State government’s negligence in not fixing Ola and Uber cab fares and to regulate the fares, in Hyderabad High Court.

Talking to mediapersons here on Sunday, TADJAC convener Mohd. Amanullah Khan alleged that the TRS government has alienated the interests of the poor auto drivers to the Ola and Uber Cabs companies and this was the reason why the Transport and Police Departments were not taking action against the illegal activities of Ola and Uber Cabs.

He further alleged that Minister K Tarakarama Rao is a partner in the Ola and Uber companies and had taken several crores of rupees from these cab companies to win seats in GHMC elections with money and liquor power. He strongly condemned the “criminal negligence” of TRS government for not fixing fares for Ola and Uber cabs and for allowing them to lose the traveling public in the name of “Surge Pricing” and to compete with auto drivers by collecting less fares illegally.

TADJAC leaders      K. Lakshmi Narsaiah, M.A. Saleem, Mohd Azeemuddin, Farooq Bhai and Mukhthar were present. (NSS)
