In a major victory Telangana Waqf Board has succeeded in protecting Waqf land worth 1000 Cr. Cancelling 5 different trusts formed illegally, the Waqf board protected valuable properties located at 3 prime locations pertaining to Makkah Madina Waqf.
Chief Executive Offer of Waqf Board Mohammed Asadullah issued orders to the said illegal trusts. Innumerable shops and buildings are present under Madina Waqf at Madina Building, Secunderabad and Sanath Nagar. Waqf Board had taken over the properties ion January 17, 2012. In the Waqf Board orders it was stated that the endower of the properties is Nawab Ahmed Nawaz Jung Bahadur, who had finalised the Waqf Nama on July 17, 1948 and constructed Makkah Madina Waqf building on the land. After construction of the building it was renamed Makkah Madina Alauddin Waqf.
Waqf Board has to say that the self-styled trustee was found involved in variously irregularities and mismanagement.
