Telangana TDP mahila president Bandru Shobharani today warned that if the TRS government failed to withdraw cheap liquor policy, women would stage demonstrations in front of all the district collector offices in the State on October 2.
Speaking to the media at NTR trust bhavan here, Shobharani said KCR is adamant on introducing cheap liquor policy from October one, when the entire women folk in the state are expressing their resentment against this policy. The people of Telangana never thought that another agitation has to be started in just 14 months of TRS rule, she said. She asked which doctor has said that if people consumed cheap liquor, their health would not be affected. Alcohol is always injurious to health, she said adding that it was not proper to introduce cheap liquor in the name of curbing gudamba consumption.
She criticized NIzamabad TRS MP Kavitha’s remark that “Maoist agenda is TRS agenda”.(NSS)
