T-TDP demands White Paper on irrigation projects

Former minister and TDP senior leader Ravula Chandrashekar Reddy on Friday demanded that the Telangana Government issue a White Paper on pending irrigation in the State.

Addressing a press conference at NTR Trust Bhavan here, Chandrashekar Reddy said that the TRS Government should release White Paper giving the present status of projects including Koel Sagar, Bheema, Kalvakurthy and Dindi. He alleged that the projects, initiated during the TDP regime, were deliberately being delayed. He said that the delay has increased the cost of the projects by several times.

The TDP leader also asked Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao to explain as to how he plans to arrange funds and water for the Palamur irrigation project. He said by laying foundation stones, KCR is trying to mislead the people.

Chandrashekar Reddy also alleged that the TRS Government was conspiring to finish off Telugu Desam Party in Telangana State. However, he said that the conspiracy would fail as TRS was banking on leaders who got political identity due to TDP. (INN)
