Charging the TRS government with failing to provide relief to rain victims in the last three days, TDP Telangana today urged its leaders and workers to extend help to the victims.
Various colonies and low-lying areas have been inundated following heavy rains causing hardship to the residents, who are awaiting government help, a party release said. “The State government and local authorities did not bother to shift people to safer places in spite of weather office warning of heavy rainfall”, TDP State party president L Ramana and working president A Revanth Reddy alleged. The TRS government has not only failed to provide help to the victims, but also utterly failed to supply drinking water and food after their houses were filled with rain water.
They urged the party leaders and workers to visit the affected areas and extend help to the victims and also organize medical camps for providing treatment to needy people in the submerged areas. The party also set up toll-free telephone numbers to provide information if they need any help: 040-30269985 and 30269983. (NSS)
